About Sri Sivananda Sarma Memorial Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College
We all know him as Sri M.C. Sivananda Sarma, the founder of Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust.
He was born on 22.01.1911 in a family of common peasants in a village in T. Narasipur Taluk, Karnataka. After his early education, he went to Siddaganga to study Sanskrit.
He then studied at Sri Chamarajendra Sanskrit College, Bangalore and later proceeded to Allahabad to complete his ‘Sahitya Visharada’.
Here came the turning point. Inspired by Madan Mohan Malaviya, who was then doing yeomen service to our land in the field of education by starting the Hindu University at Banares, Sri Sivananda sarma set about his task. Extensively travelling to various educational institutions of eminence like Shantiniketan and Kangadi Gurukula founded by Swami Sharadhananda, he gained deep insight into the field of education and set about his mission.
